Do you create liquid coded Shopify Websites?
So we wanna hire a good Shopify developer. Are you one?
- Portfolio matters, not experience. Show us the work, not the years.
- Flexible timings. 5-day week. Pick the hours you actually design well in.
- 100% remote. Your laptop, our dev stores and tools
Send us your portfolio
Takes 40 seconds. We review every link that comes in.
We get back to shortlisted designers within 48 hours.
No cover letter. No résumé formatting games.
The bits people usually ask about, answered upfront
Portfolio > experience
We don't count years. We open your files. If the work is good, you're in the conversation — fresher or five years in.
Flexible timings
No 9-to-6 theatre. Agree on the deliverables and the review calls, then work the hours your brain actually cooperates in.
5-day work week
Monday to Friday. Weekends are yours — we don't send “quick change” messages on Sunday night.
100% remote
Not hybrid, not “remote-friendly”. Fully remote. No commute, no office days, no “can you come in Tuesday”. Work from wherever you are.
Bring your own device
You design on your own laptop. Figma is on us — we provide the licence, along with the AI image and video tools the projects need.
Work that actually ships
200+ stores launched. Your designs go live for real brands in days, not into a folder called “concepts_final_v7”.
So what would you actually be doing?
We design and build custom ecommerce websites for growing Indian brands — no templates, start to finish, usually inside a week. You’d own the design half of that.
Day to day
- Build custom Shopify themes and sections in Liquid — hand-coded, not page-builder output.
- Turn Figma files into pixel-accurate, responsive sections with clean schema the client can safely edit.
- Work with metafields, metaobjects and dynamic sources so content stays editable, not hard-coded.
- Work with our designers and project team to ship builds without losing detail.
- Integrate (and un-integrate) apps, and keep speed and Core Web Vitals in check.
- Keep up with where Shopify's platform is actually going — new APIs, theme features, deprecations.
What we're looking for
- A portfolio with real Shopify stores in it. Live URLs beat screenshots.
- Fluency in custom Liquid — sections, blocks, snippets, schema settings, metafields.
- Solid HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. Responsive by instinct, not by media-query guesswork.
- Comfortable with AI coding tools, or keen to get there fast.
- Can run with a design file solo and still take feedback like a grown-up.
- Ships on time, and communicates well in writing — remote work lives or dies on that.
See the type of websites we've launched
200+ live stores. It’s the standard you’d be designing to — worth a look before you apply.
So what happens after you hit apply?
We open your portfolio
A designer looks at your actual work — not a keyword scan of a résumé. If it’s a fit, you hear from us on WhatsApp.
One honest conversation
We walk through two or three of your projects and ask why you made the calls you made. No trick questions, no whiteboard theatre.
A small paid task, then an offer
One real screen, scoped small and paid for. It tells us more than any interview round — and tells you whether you’d enjoy the work.

A few things you might be wondering
How many days a week is this?
Five — Monday to Friday. Weekends off, and we mean off. Our delivery timelines are built around a five-day week, so nobody’s covering for a “quick Sunday change”.
What do “flexible timings” actually mean?
You don’t clock in at a fixed hour. What’s fixed is a short daily sync and the client review calls that are already on the calendar — usually a couple of hours in the middle of the day. Around that, you choose your hours.
The trade is simple: flexibility on when, firmness on what and by when.
Is this really 100% remote?
Yes. Fully remote, wherever you’re based in India. There’s no office requirement, no hybrid days, and no “let’s revisit this after three months”. Our whole delivery process runs on Figma, WhatsApp and calls.
What tools will I be working in — and who pays for them?
Shopify Partner dev stores, any paid apps or themes a build needs, and the AI coding tools we use — all on us. You bring the laptop and a reliable internet connection.
You also get access to the Figma files you’re building from, so you’re never coding off a flat screenshot. Some projects are WordPress; you don’t need to know it, but it helps.
What exactly should I send with my application?
A link. Live store URLs, a GitHub repo, a CodePen, a Notion page, even a Drive folder — whatever shows the work best.
If you can, include two or three full stores rather than fifteen small tweaks, and add a line on what you actually built versus what came with the theme. Freelance, agency and personal projects all count.
I've only customised existing themes, never built one from scratch. Should I still apply?
Yes — as long as you’ve actually written Liquid. Custom sections, schema settings, snippets, metafields: that’s what we’re looking for. Swapping colours and installing apps isn’t. Building a theme from scratch is a plus, not a gat
How long does the whole hiring process take?
Usually 5 to 8 days end to end: 48 hours to review, a 30-minute call, a small paid task over 2–3 days, then a decision. We won’t leave you on read.
Who would I be working with?
Scoop Services is the website arm of Scoop My Art. You’d sit with the founder, a project lead, and the dev team — a small enough setup that your design decisions don’t get diluted by four layers of approval.
Think you're the designer we're looking for?
Send the link. That’s the whole first round. If your work is good, the rest is a conversation.
